Using Outlook add-in when drafting an email

If you start drafting an email in your Outlook, you can use Thread for Email add-in to link that email to a file, include file documents as email attachments, or choose file contacts as recipients. Once you send the email, that email will automatically show in the file inbox, and replies to your email will come directly to the file inbox in Thread.
Only contacts with an existing email address in Thread can be added as recipients.
1) When writing a new email, open the Thread for Email add-in from the top toolbar, and search for a file that you need to link this email to.



If using Outlook on the web, choose the ellipsis for more options to open the add-in.


Search for the file you want to link this email to.


2) From the file selected, you can choose file contacts as recipients, file documents as attachments, and link (save) the email to the file.


When you toggle on to 'Save this email to Thread', the email will have a tracker code linking it to the file so that all replies to this email will come to the file inbox automatically. This email that you send will also show in the file inbox.

Use the pin icon to keep the add-in open for any new email.
