Company Matters - Templates and Billing

Some matter functionality will work differently when the matter is assigned to a company rather than individual. 

 

 

You will see a different icon at the top of the matter (left of the matter code and name) depending on whether it is an individual matter or a company matter.

A matter that is assigned to a company will have the company name and location on the Matter Overview tab: 
 

 
 
 

Generating Templates on Company Matters 

 

When generating templates on a company matter, the template fields that are coded to show the primary client main address will show the company address instead (address of the company location assigned to the matter).

Your primary contact main address might show a different address if that contact is linked to another company location, however in templates the contact's main address will be overridden by the address of the Company Location in Matter Overview. 

 

 

 

Issuing Bills on Company Matters 

 

When issuing bills on a company matter, the same will apply for address fields as any template on a company matter (see above). 

 

On that company page, you will see the total issued bill value on the Summary tab, and the total value still to be billed.
