With Thread, you can easily copy documents across different files, and make copies of a document within the same file.
If you want to copy a file document to another file on Thread, you can copy it directly from one file to another.
1. Click Files on the left pane.
2. Select the file you want to copy a document from.
3. In the Activities page of the file, select the document you want to copy to another file.
4. Click Copy to in the top grey pane.
5. A pop-up window will appear. You can search for a file by clicking All Files and entering a file name in the search box. Select the file you want to copy the document to and click Save.
6. To include the document in a group activity, select the group activity and click OK. If you do not want to include the document in a group activity, just click OK.
If you need to make a copy of a document within the same file, you can do this easily.
1. Click Files on the left pane.
2. Select the file you want to copy a document from.
3. In the Activities page of the file, select the document you want to copy.
4. Click the arrow beside Copy to in the top grey pane.
5. Click This File.
6. An Edit Activity window appears. Click Save.
Note: It is important to not edit or rename the document at this stage.
If you need to rename a document, you can do this once it has been copied to the same file or another file.
1. In the Activities page of a file, select the copied document and click Edit in the top grey pane.
2. A pop-up window will appear. You can rename the document in the Name field.
3. Click Save.
