With Thread, you can easily copy documents across different matters and make copies of a document within the same matter.
Copying Documents Across Matters
If you want to copy a matter document to another matter on Thread, you can copy it directly from one matter to another.
1. Click Matters on the left pane.
2. Select the matter you want to copy a document from.
3. In the Documents page of the matter, select the document you want to copy to another matter.
4. Click the ellipses on the right of the document and select Copy to.
Or you can also click the Copy to button for multiple docs selected at the bottom pane.
5. A pop-up window will appear. You can search for a matter by clicking All Matters and entering a matter name in the search box. Select the matter you want to copy the document to and click Save.
6. To include the document in a matter folder, select the folder and click Select. If you do not want to include the document in a folder, click the Root folder or just simply click Select.
Copying Documents to the Same Matter
If you need to make a copy of a document within the same matter, you can do this easily.
1. Click Matters on the left pane.
2. Select the matter you want to copy a document from.
3. In the Documents page of the matter, select the document you want to copy.
4. Click the ellipsis on the right of the document and click Copy to.
Or you can also click the Copy to button for multiple docs selected at the bottom pane.
5. Select This matter
6. Click Save.
It is important to not edit or rename the document at this stage.
