Creating a File Note

Creating a File Note

You can create a quick note on any file on Thread that you can view in the File Documents page. This could include notes from a meeting with a client or information about the progress of a case, for example. 

  1. 1. Click on Files in the left pane of your Thread page. 

  1. 2. In the File Documents section under Activities tab, click the arrow beside New in the top pane. 

  1. 3. Click File Note. 

 

  1. 4. A pop-up window will open for you to make a file note and fill in relevant information. 


  1. 5. When finished, click Save. 


  1. You can view and edit the file note any time from your Activities page. 


  1. Note: If a file note has more than 2000 words it will automatically convert to a Word document.
