The Template Editor Module also adds an ‘Add In’ called eXpd8-Powerbar to Microsoft Word application so you can insert eXpd8 fields into the word document.  In newer versions of Microsoft Office, the eXpd8 powerbar is available through the ‘Add-In’s’ tab

1. Open the template that you created

2. Select Add-ins on the top toolbar

The eXpd8 template toolbar has four drop-down lists, which will allow you to select fields from different eXpd8 records.
The first column drop-down lists File Record fields. This provides access to fields containing data on the summary page of the file in which the template may be generated

The second column drop-down lists Client Record fields. This provides access to fields containing data in relation to any clients on the file in which the template may be generated

The third column drop-down lists Contact Record fields. This provides access to fields containing data in relation to any contacts on the file in which the template may be generated

The last column drop-down lists Custom Fields, which have been added to the File Category this template is for. This provides access to fields containing data in relation to any custom fields on the file in which the template may be generated

3, You can add these fields into the Template by clicking on the Word document where you wish the eXpd8 field to be placed - flashing cursor will indicate the position.

4, On the eXpd8 template toolbar select the relevant field from the options in the drop-down

5. Format the document as required

6. Select the Save option on the Microsoft Word toolbar
