Creating Tasks for Emails
If an email requires a follow up action, you can create a task directly from the email within the matter.
1. In the left pane of your Thread page, click Matters.
2. In the search bar provided, search for the matter on which you want to create an email task.
3. Click on the matter name.
4. Select the Emails tab on the matter.
5. Select the email for which you want to create a task
You can use the Search box within the Emails tab to easily locate the relevant email.
6. Click the ellipsis on the email and select Create task.
7. Create the task adding the Title, Matter, Description, Status, Due date, Priority, Stage and assign to the relevant user(s).
If separate tasks for each user are required, be sure to select Create multiple tasks in the bottom left corner.
9. The task(s) will automatically be added to the Tasks tab within the matter, and your To-do list.
Any email Follow Up tasks (selected while composing an email), will also be automatically added to the Tasks tab within the matter,
and your To-do list.
