With Thread, you can add document statuses that can be used across all matters on the application, e.g. pending, dealt with, draft, sent. Adding statuses to matter documents allows you to view their progress as you can change statuses as documents are updated.
Document statuses can be added in Admin Settings. Once they are set up, they can be added to all matters and documents across Thread.
1. Click on the Settings icon at the bottom left of your menu.
2. Under the Matters tab, select Document Status.
3. Click + Document Status button in the top right corner.
4. A pop-up window will appear. Enter the name of the new document status.
5. Click Save.
You can rename a document status at any time.
1. Click on the Settings icon at the bottom left of your menu.
2. Under the Matters tab, select Document Status.
3. Select the document status you want to edit and click Edit in the top grey pane.
4. A pop-up window will appear for you to amend the name of the document status.
5. Click Save.
If you no longer want a status to be available for use across matters on Thread, you can delete it easily.
1. Click on the Settings icon at the bottom left of your menu.
2. Under the Matters tab, select Document Status.
3. Select the document status you want to remove and click Delete in the top grey pane.
4. A confirmation window will appear asking you to confirm your decision. Click OK.
Once Document Statuses have been configured in Admin Settings, you can view and change the status of matter Documents. This allows you to see the progress of a document.
1. Click Matters on the left pane of your Thread.
2. Search for your matter and click the matter name.
3. Click on the Documents tab of the matter.
4. Locate the document you want to change the status of. In the Status column click Select an Option.
5. A pop-up window will appear. Select a document status from the drop-down list.
6. Your chosen Document Status will now show in the Status column for that document.
7. You can also filter matter documents by status in the Filter option.
