Editing PDF documents using Thread PDF Viewer/Editor

PDF viewer and editor allows you to edit and save PDF documents directly within the matter, without needing to re-upload it. In your personal settings, you can choose if you would like to open PDF documents in Thread using the PDF viewer/editor.

Notes
Only PDF documents up to 300MB in size can be opened using PDF viewer/editor. Any documents over that size will continue to open in Sharepoint preview.
Alert
Please note opening too many tabs in your browser may affect the PDF editor performance.

Enabling Thread PDF Viewer


1. Go to Personal settings.



2. Toggle Use Thread PDF viewer to Yes.



3. Click Save.

Editing PDF Documents using Thread PDF viewer


1. When PDF viewer is enabled, to Open a PDF document just click on a PDF document in the matter and this will open it on a new tab.


2. Fill in the fields you need to amend, or make any other changes using the editor options.





Use redaction options, add annotations or organise pages. Find all options in the toolbars at the top.

A.  Add a Textbox.
B.  Add a Password.
C.  Add a Checkbox.
D.  Add a Radio Button.
E.  Add a Drop Down.
F.  Add a List Box.
G. Add a Signature.


2. Redaction Options



A. Mark for Redaction.
B. Redact Pages.
C. Redaction Panel.


3.  Add or Edit Annotations



A. Highlight Text.
B. Underline Text.
C. Strikethrough Text.
D. Squiggly Text.
E.  Add Shapes.
F.  Calibrate
G. Add Free Text.
H. Add Stamp.
I.   Add a Signature.
J.  Draw Ink.

5. Organize Pages


3. Click on the Save  button on the upper left corner and select options to either Save which will save changes to the existing document, or Save as new Document.



You can also Print or Download the PDF using those options located on the upper right corner.



4. Your changes will be saved on the same or a new PDF document.

PDF documents can also be edited after being generated from template in a matter.
