How to change file category after file is created?

You may have instances where the file category on a file needs to change, and this can easily be done within the File Summary page.

When inside a file, on the File Details - Summary page, click on the dropdown menu to select the correct category needed for the file.

Click Save to apply the change.

A pop up will appear notifying you that all documents within this file will be moved to a new Sharepoint location. This will not affect anything you see in Thread.

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for this change to apply system-wide. You can continue working on this file as normal, and you will see the category change effective fully from the following day.

You will notice that the file category will be greyed out during the change, not allowing you to make any further changes until the change is fully completed.
