Comments will be visible to all users who can access the matter.
You can
access the Matter Comments by clicking on the Matter History icon on
the top right of the matter.
Select the
“Comments” section to access the comments left on the matter.
Click into
the text box below to add a comment to the matter and type @ to start looking for
a user to tag in the comment. The user mentioned will get an email notification
with the comment and the link to the matter. Click Save when finished.
You can
select if you want to view all comments, or only matter or document comments.
Users can
hover over a comment to choose edit/delete on their own comments, but not
others.
The
matter owner can edit / delete any comments.
When a
matter comment is edited, it goes up to the top of the page.
Comments will replace ‘Document Notes’. When a user clicks the ‘View Notes’ on a document, the Comments panel will open filtered to that document, so user can see all previous comments on that document and add a new one. If the user is mentioned in the comment, they will also get the link to the document in the email notification. In the Documents
tab of a matter, right click on a document you wish to add a comment to and
select the “View Notes” option.
Add the
comment or tag the person you intend to add this comment for on the document
and the Save it to confirm.
When saved
you can then view the comments left by yourself and others on the document
related to this matter.
You cannot
reply to comments, you can only add new ones and @Mention another user in the
comments to notify them of the comment by email.

If
you @Mention a User, the user will get an email with the comment and the link to
the matter in it, as well as a link to document if comment was made on a document.
User will also get a Thread notification.
You can access this matter or document by clicking on the link on the email or
the ‘Open Matter’ button.
You can format the comment using the formatting options at
the top of the text box.
