Opening Documents Method

With Thread, users can choose a default method for opening Microsoft documents. Users can choose to open Microsoft documents in a web browser or in the desktop application (Word, Excel etc.), by default. Change the default way of opening Microsoft documents in Thread (Desktop Application or Web Browser) by performing this procedure. 

  1. 1. Click on your Thread username, located in the top right-hand corner of the home page 

  1. 2. Select Personal Settings. 

  1. 3. Scroll to Open document method. 

  1. 4. From the drop-down menu, select Desktop App or Web Browser. 

 

  1. Click Save.
