You can integrate your Quickbooks account with Thread so that your issued bills and clients data in Thread sync with Quickbooks. First, you need to turn the integration on and sign in daily to ensure the sync is successful.
Turning on Integration with Quickbooks
To integrate with Quickbooks accounts, first Quickbooks must be toggled on in the Integrations tab of Thread.
1. Click Admin Settings on the left pane of Thread.
2. Click the Integrations tab.
3. Toggle On Quickbooks to turn on integration.
Daily Sign In
To ensure your data is syncing regularly, sign in to Quickbooks using the link in your Thread personal settings.
1. Once integrated, click your username in the top right corner.
2. Click Personal Settings.
3. In the Account Integration tab, click Connect to Quickbooks.
4. On the Quickbooks page, log in using your login details for Quickbooks.
5. The account will integrate with Thread. You can view the account details and information on the Thread application.
Note: It is important to complete the steps above daily, each morning please ensure that you are connected to your integrated accounts (you should see an icon in the top toolbar of your Thread confirming that you are synched to Accounts).
Data Sync
The data that will sync from Thread to Quickbooks include your main client's details such as full name, email address, phone number, address etc., and all items included in the issued bill with the corresponding value (if billing by hourly rates). You will only see the synced data once the bill has been issued in Thread.
You must have a main client on the file for the bill and client to sync with Quickbooks. If you are not seeing your client and bill in Quickbooks, check that your client is assigned as main client on the file, and the bill has ben issued.
Note: Thread does not sync any financial data such as payments, cheque requisitions, or client accounts transactions.
Bills Sync
Note: Once the issued bill has synced with Quickbooks, it is not possible to unissue it in Thread.
Note: Value Added Tax (VAT) amounts generated in Thread are not transferred to Quickbooks, VAT amounts are handled separately in Quickbooks.
Once the bill was issued in Thread, you will see it showing in Quickbooks Invoices page. On the invoice in Quickbooks, you can see your main client details that synced from Thread. Please note the Invoice no. is assigned by Quickbooks and does not pick up the bill name added in Thread.
All activities included in the bill will be listed on the invoice, with the corresponding name, date and value amounts (does not apply if fixed fee - see more details below).
Please note times will show in units of a whole, rather than minutes (e.g. 20 minutes shows as 0.33 hours).
Value amounts will show subtotals in Thread, without VAT amounts.

Quickbooks:
On the Bills tab in Thread, you will see that the bill synced successfully with Quickbooks, and the corresponding invoice no.
You can make any further changes to the invoice in Quickbooks as needed. If you have multiple files for the same client, you can use a note or memo field on the invoice in Quickbooks to add a file name or file code to the invoice. The file code and name do not sync from Thread to Quickbooks.
Note: Thread integration with Quickbooks is a one-way sync, any changes made in Quickbooks do not sync back to Thread.
If you wish to see hourly rates showing on the Quickbooks invoice, you must have a product or service created in Quickbooks with the same name and amount as the hourly rate in Thread. Any activities with that hourly rate will then pull the rate amount to the invoice as well, plus the total value.
If the file in Thread is set to bill a Fixed Fee, the invoice in Quickbooks will show only one item with the bill name, total time in units, and fixed fee amount.
Clients Sync
To view your customer details, on the Customer page in Quickbooks click on the customer you wish to view.
In Customer Details, all the fields highlighted in yellow will sync from Thread, all blue highlighted fields do not sync:
If you update the contact details in Thread any time, they will sync with Quickbooks.
