You can integrate your Quill account with Thread so that your issued bills and clients data in Thread sync with Quill. First, you need to turn the integration on and sign in daily to ensure the sync is successful.

To integrate with Quill accounts, first Quill must be toggled on in the Integrations tab of Thread.
1. Click Admin Settings on the left pane of Thread.
2. Click the Integrations tab.
3. Toggle On Quill to turn on integration.
If you want to use Thread generated file codes, untick Overwrite File Code box.
To have the file codes overwritten in Thread by Quill File Code, leave the box ticked.

1. Once integrated, click your username in the top right corner.
2. Click Personal Settings.
3. In the Account Integration tab, click Sign in.
4. On the Quill page, log in using your login details for Quill, and allow access.
5. The account will integrate with Thread. You can view the account details and information on the Thread application.
Note: It is important to complete the steps above daily, each morning please ensure that you are connected to your integrated accounts (you should see an icon in the top toolbar of your Thread confirming that you are synced to Accounts).
Data Sync
The data that will sync from Thread to Quill include your main client's details, file details, and issued *bill value.
*You will only see the synced bill data once the bill has been issued in Thread.
You must have a main client on the file for the bill and client to sync with Quill. If you are not seeing your client and bill in Quill, check that your client is assigned as main client on the file, and the bill has ben issued.
Note: Thread does not sync any financial data such as payments, cheque requisitions, or client accounts transactions.
Files and Clients Sync
Any file added to Thread, with main client assigned, will sync client name and email, file name (showing as description in Quill), file category (case type), and date opened.
In Thread, you will see the Quill Matter Code, and Quill financial summary on the file summary page.
Note: If the sync to Quill was not successful, you will have a Sync to Quill button showing instead of Quill Matter Code. This will happen if there is no main client assigned to the file. First, you must assign a main client, then click on Sync to Quill button to view the Quill Matter Code and start the sync.
Ledger Sync
Note: Once the issued bill has synced with Quill, it is not possible to unissue it in Thread, or to change the main client on the file.
Note: Value Added Tax (VAT) amounts generated in Thread are not transferred to Quill, VAT amounts are handled separately in Quill. However, the total amount billed inclusive of VAT will show as the total ledger amount in Quill, without VAT amounts showing separately.
Follow the steps to include activities in a bill, and then issue bill. You can use any template for creating a bill, it will not affect how the bill will show in Quill. You will see that the bill synced with Quill on the Bills page in Thread.
Once the bill was issued in Thread, you will see the bill amount showing in Quill on the Case Ledgers page.
Note: Quill does not show any activity details from the bill, only the total bill amount (amount shown is inclusive of VAT amounts, but does not separate or show VAT amounts in Quill).
If you wish to generate the bill in Quill, it will show only the total bill amount that synced from Thread.
The generated bill will automatically download. Click on the bill to open it in Word.
You can also view the bill in Quill by clicking on E-chit in Ledgers page of a case.
The bill will show file code, name, client name and total amount.
Note: Thread integration with Quill is a one-way sync, any changes made in Quill do not sync back to Thread.
