Updating Bundle table of contents in Word
When generating a bundle as a Word document, you can further edit how the table of contents shows in Word.
Note: Below is a help guide only - it is not a Thread functionality. For any further questions or issues with editing pages or page numbers in Word, please contact your IT provider or refer to Microsoft guides.
Removing Section pages & updating Table of Contents
If you prefer not to see the section names in the bundle, and to start the page numbering from the first document in a bundle, you can follow the steps below.
You can follow these steps after you have generated a bundle as a Word document and opened the bundle document in Word.
First, you can follow the steps here to delete the section page/s.
Then, you can follow the steps here to start page numbering on Page 3 by skipping the Title and Index pages.
Finally, once your page numbers show as you need them and all section pages are deleted, click 'Update table' on the References tab in Word. Make sure you select 'Update page numbers only'. Your bundle should now look correctly as in example below, and page 1 is the first document.
Make sure to always choose 'Update page numbers only' so you don't lose the document titles from the Table of Contents.
You can rename the document titles by just typing the name as needed in the Table of Contents.
