Using Global Search

You can quickly access your Recent searches, Pinned matters and Recent Matters by using Thread global search function, located on the top of the navigation menu. 




1. To search, click Search in Thread. 

 


2. Recent searches, Pinned matters and Recent Matters will appear and you can click on desired items or enter your search term in the search bar at the top. 

 


3. Click Enter on your keyboard and your search results of Matters, Documents, or Contacts will open.

 
 

In the sample above, Matters is pinned (for easy access to matters first), but you can pin Contacts or Documents if you prefer to view those search results first. 

 

 



With global search in Thread, you can search by matter name or code, contact first name, last name, email and the document name or content.

To further assist with your search, you can sort by any of the column headings: Name, Matter Code, Description, etc. 

 

 


InfoThere are page specific search options within most pages on Thread, such as Key dates, Companies, Tasks etc., which only search through the content on those pages.
