Wills

 You can add wills that your clients have made directly to their contact details on Thread. All wills uploaded to Thread can be viewed and managed now on the Vault page / Wills. 

 

 

Adding Wills to Contacts 

Wills must be added directly to a contact’s information on Thread.  

1. Click Contacts, located on the left pane. 

2. Search for the contact you want to add a will to and double click their name. 

3. The Edit Contact window will appear. Go to the Will tab.

  1. 4. Click Add.  

NotesThe file(s) must be less than 300MB.

  1. 5. Drag and drop an image or Office file or click the box to upload the will.  

  1. 6. Once uploaded, you can include details of the will including when it was made, a reference number, notes, and a deceased date if relevant.

7. Click Save. 

You can view a will on the contact’s details page or on the Wills page of Thread. 

Viewing Wills 

You can view wills created on Thread on the Wills page or in the Wills tab of a contact’s details. 

1. Click Vault on the left pane of Thread, and then the Wills tab. 

2. Use the search bar to search for a will and use the date range boxes to view wills by the date created or the deceased date. Select the Filter option to check filter your search in wills.

Editing Wills  

You can easily edit wills to add notes, add a deceased date, change the creation date, or include a will reference. 

1. Click Vault then Wills in the left pane of Thread. 

2. Select the will you want to edit and click Edit in the top grey pane.

3. The contact details pop-up window will appear. Here, you can add a deceased date, will reference, notes, and change the creation date.

4. Click Save. 

Deleting Wills  

If, for some reason you need to remove a will from a contact on Thread, you can do this easily. 

1. Click Contacts on the left pane of Thread. 

2. Double click the name of the contact you want to delete a will from.  

3. The Edit Contact window will appear. Go to the Will tab.

4. Select the will you want to delete and click Delete.

5. A confirmation window will appear asking you to confirm your decision. Click Delete.
