Editing Custom Field Details on Files

Editing Custom Field Details on Files

You can add custom fields to files, that are specific to a file category. For example, in a family law case, you can include custom fields such as Date of Marriage, Date of Separation, and Number of Children.

Note: custom fields must be created in Template Desk before they can be added to a file. See here for more details.

To edit the custom fields on files:

  1. 1. Click Files in the left pane of Thread.

  1. 2. Search for the file where you want to enter custom field details.

  1. 3. Click the file name.

  1. 4. Under File Details, click Custom Fields.

  1. 5. The custom fields set up for the category of your file will appear. Enter any relevant information into the fields.

6. The changes will save automatically.
