If you are handling a matter for a company rather than an individual, you can create a file with that company as your client.
1. Click on the quick create button in the bottom right corner.
2. Select File.
3. A pop-up window will appear where you can fill out all relevant details. Mandatory fields are marked with *.
4. Type and select the company which is your client for this case. If the company has not been added yet to your Thread, click + icon to create the company first.
If the company has multiple locations, you can select the relevant location for this file.
5. In the next window, select the relevant company employee as the primary point of contact for this case.
If the client company is without any contact, you can choose this company as the primary client in the Find Contacts step. The file will then automatically convert to company file and populate the Company field on the Summary page.
6. Once you have completed all the relevant file details, your file will be created and you will see the client company on the file summary page.
You will also notice next to the file code and name there is an icon showing that this is a company file .
