Changing a Company Client on a Matter
If you need to change the company that you entered on the matter to a different one, you can follow the steps below, provided the matter has not been billed yet.
If the matter has already been billed, you would need to first unissue the bill, where possible.
1. Enter the matter on which you need to change the company and click on the Matter Overview -> Details page.
2. Remove the company that shows under the Company field. Click Save.

3. Go to the Contacts tab of the matter.

4. If the contact of the company who should be on the matter is not in your matter contacts list, click Link Contact to search and link it to this matter.
5. Once you linked a contact from the correct company, select that contact and make it the Primary Client of the matter.
6. Now that you have the correct company contact linked as the primary client of the matter, you can go back to the Summary page and assign the correct company as the client for this matter.

This matter will now also show on that company Matters page.
