Bundle Editor / Generator

Using our Bundle Generator, you can add multiple matter documents and emails to a bundle, and generate a bundle document in minutes, with automatic table of contents and page numbering. 

  

Create a Bundle and add Sections 

  1. 1. In the left pane of your Thread page, click Matters.  

  1. 2. In the search bar provided, search for the matter on which you want to create an email task.

  2. 3. Click on the matter name.  

  1. 4. Select the Bundles tab on the matter. 

 

  1. 5. Click +Bundle

 

  1. 6. A Bundle Editor window will open; enter the Bundle Name to get started. 

 

  1. 7. Under Sections, click icon to add a new bundle section. 

 

 8. Choose from pre-defined bundle sections in your Thread or type a new section name. 

 

  1. 9. To rearrange the order of sections, click the Order Sections icon on the top right. 

 

  1. 10. Drag and drop the sections where you need them and click Save


 

  1. 11. Choose if you want your bundle document to display page numbers.

Notes
Page numbers will be defaulted Yes or No based on your admin settings.

Add Documents to Bundle Sections 

Once you have added all required Sections to the bundle, click on the Section you want to add documents to, then from the left pane find the items from the matter that you need to include in the bundle. You can use the search bar or filter by document type (e.g. document, document (portal), matter note etc.).  

Click icon next to document to add it to the bundle. 
 

 

Select Documents from the content dropdown. 

Use the search bar to quickly locate a required document. 

Filter by document type. 

Use icon to add a document to a selected bundle section. 

  

Rename Document(s) 

Double click on the name of a document to rename it, and it will be renamed in the matter as well. 

 
 



  

Preview Document(s) 

To preview a document, use the preview icon which will open the document preview in a new tab on your browser. 

 
  

Remove Document (s) 

If you need to remove a document from the bundle, click the icon.

Click Save to save your bundle. You can go back to edit it at any time on the Bundles page. 


 
 
 

Add Emails to Bundle Sections 

Once you have added all required Sections to the bundle, click on the Section you want to add emails to, then from the left pane find the emails from the matter that you need to include in the bundle. Use the search bar to find a specific email or filter by email folder (i.e. sent items, inbox or custom folders). Choose whether you wish to use the Original email subject or Internal email subject. You can also click on any column to sort in ascending or descending order. 

Click Picture icon next to email to add it to the bundle.

Rename Email(s) 

Double click on the name of an email within the section to rename it. This will also edit the Internal email subject for this email.

Preview Email(s)

Remove Email(s) 

If you need to remove an email from the bundle, click the icon.

Click Save to save your bundle. You can go back to edit it at any time on the Bundles page.

View by Activity Date or Created Date 

You can choose to view documents, and bundle section items by Activity Date or Created date.

NotesEmails will show the Sent/Received date when viewing either by Created or Activity date. 


  

Rearrange the order of Emails and Documents 

To rearrange the order of emails and documents within a bundle section, simply drag and drop the item to where you need it.

Sort by Column Headings 

You can also sort the documents and emails by Name or Created/Activity date, by just clicking on the column title.

Add Bookmarks 

To bookmark a document, an email, or All documents and emails in a section, click on the bookmark icon.

Include multiple Documents in a Bundle 

You can assign a Bundle Section to Documents as you are working on the matter, so you can quickly add them to a bundle when needed. On the matter Documents page, by selecting the bundle icon and choosing a bundle Section to assign that section to the document.


 

  




Bundle Sections list can be customised in admin Settings, see here for more details. 

Select all documents that have a bundle Section assigned and click Bundle icon at the bottom, to include these documents in a Bundle. 
 

AlertOnly documents that already have a Bundle Section assigned to them can be included in the Bundle from Documents page. 

  

 

Select the Bundle in which you want these documents to be included and click Save

 

All included documents with assigned Bundle Sections will automatically show in the relevant Section of that Bundle. 

 

NotesIf documents already have a Bundle Section assigned, and are then included in a Bundle, that section will automatically be added to the Bundle with the relevant documents. 
 

Generate a Bundle

Within Bundle Editor

Once you have finished editing your Bundle, you can easily generate a Bundle document using the Bundle Editor. 
Tick the
Generate Bundle box and choose if you want to generate it as a PDF or Word document.  



 

Click Save, and in the next window choose a Bundle cover you wish to use, then click OK.

You can preview the bundle cover template to make sure you select the correct one.

NotesYou can set up Bundle Cover Templates in the Template Desk  

Your Bundle document will automatically open once it has finished generating and you will also see it in your Documents page. 

 

  

From Bundles page

When on the Bundles page of a matter, select the Bundle you wish to generate and click Generate Bundles to generate a PDF document. To generate a bundle in Word format, click the dropdown arrow beside Generate Bundles and select Word Document. 

 

Select Bundles tab. 

Select the Bundle you wish to Generate. 

Generate Bundle in PDF format. 

Generate Bundle in Word format. 

  

Choose a Bundle Cover template you want to use for this Bundle document, then click OK. 



 
Your Bundle document will automatically open once it has finished generating and you will also see it in your
Documents page. 

InfoYou can also clone a Bundle if needed, by selecting the Bundle and clicking Clone in the top grey pane.
