Converting individual files to company files

Converting individual files to company files

With the new company module, you can now convert any individual file to show as a company file if it has not been billed yet.

Note: You will only be able to select the company that is associated with your primary client. Make sure you have the company created and the primary client on that file is a contact (employee) of that company.
1. Open a file you wish to convert.
2. In the File Details page, search and select the company you want to assign this file to.

3. Select the relevant company location.

4. Click Save.

The file will now be assigned to this company, and will be visible on the company Matters page.

You will also see the company icon next to the file code, and the company name when hover over the icon.

To find out more about company files, go to Company Files - Templates and Billing.
