My Snippets

Save time and avoid typing repetition when emailing and inviting contacts to appointments, by setting up email snippets on Thread. 

 

Creating Snippets (Email)  
 

To create a snippet while composing an email in Thread:  


  1. 1. Select the Emails tab of the matter and click New Message.

  1. 2. The compose email window will appear

  1. 3. Select the My Snippets icon at the bottom of the Email window

  1. 4. Click +Add in the top right corner of the pop-up window.

  1. 5. Give your Snippet a Title and enter your required text in the Details field.

  1. 6. Click Save. 

 

Using My Snippets when emailing 

To use a snippet while composing an email in Thread:  


  1. 1. Select the Emails tab of the matter and click New Message

  1. 4. My Snippets will pop up on the right. 

 

  1. 5. Select the Snippet you wish to use, e.g. General Email.

  1. 6. The Snippet will automatically be inserted into the body of your email

  1. 7. Add the recipient's name and amend the email text further, if needed.

Creating Snippets (Appointments)  
 

To create a snippet while adding a calendar appointment in Thread:  

  1. 1. Select the Events tab of the matter and click +New in the top right corner.

  1. 2. The Create appointment window will appear. 

 

  1. 3. Select the My Snippets icon at the bottom of the appointment window.

  1. 4. Click +Add in the top right corner.

  1. 5. Give your Snippet a Title and enter your required text in the Details field.

  1. 6. Click Save. 

 

Using My Snippets when creating an Appointment 

To use a snippet while creating an appointment in Thread:  


  1. 1. Select the Events tab of the matter and click +New in the top right corner.

To create a snippet while adding a Key Date in Thread:  

  1. 1. Click the Events tab of the matter and select the drop-down arrow at +New in the top right corner.

  1. 3. The Create key date window will appear. 

 

  1. 4. Select the My Snippets icon at the bottom of the key date window.

NotesMy Snippets created while composing an email will also be available for use when creating appointments and vice versa. 

 

Idea If more substantial text than a Snippet is required, consider creating an email Template. See Email Templates for more details.
