Desktop Outlook sidebar end of life
Get new Thread for Email add-in
Are you still using the old Desktop Outlook sidebar (with yellow folders) for adding your emails to Thread?
We now have a new add-in with even more functionalities, and the old sidebar will be shut down on 30th June 2023.
Find the steps below to get the new add-in, and remove the old one from your Outlook.
New Thread for Email add-in
Please send the link below to your IT provider to install the new add-in to all users in the company:
If you manage your own Microsoft accounts, you can get the new add-in directly here.
Remove Desktop Outlook sidebar
Older Windows devices
1. Click on the Windows Icon on your taskbar
2. Search Add or remove programs
An Apps & features pop-up window will appear
3. Search Thread email
4. Click to select the program you wish to remove and uninstall (you may need to click an ellipsis (…) here depending on your system version)
The app and its related info will be uninstalled.
Newer Windows devices
1. Click on the Windows Icon on your taskbar
2. Search Add or remove programs
An Apps & features pop-up window will appear
3. Search Thread email. Click to select the program you wish to remove and uninstall (you may need to click an ellipsis (…) here depending on your system version)
The app and its related info will be uninstalled.
