Thread Release Notes 1st July 2025
You will now see a number of outstanding items assigned to you in each tab (Tasks, Document Review, Call log).
The total number of your open items will show next to the tab title, regardless of filters you have applied on each tab.
To view all your outstanding items on each page, apply the following filters:
Tasks
1 Views - Past Due
2 User - Choose yourself
3 Priority - All
Tasks tab will only show number of tasks that are past due, not including any tasks that are due in the future or without a due date. If you wish to see all open tasks assigned to you, please choose 'All Incomplete' in Views filter.
Document Review
1 Views - All Incomplete
2 Source type - Email, Document
3 User - Choose yourself
4 Document Status - All
5 Document type - All
Document Review tab will show number of all tasks assigned to you that are not yet completed, regardless of due date. If you wish to only see tasks based on their Due Date, please choose the relevant option in Views filter.
Call log
1 Option - View All
2 Status - All open
3 Call for - Choose yourself
Move Emails from 'Dealt With' Folder
- Move emails from Dealt With folder to any other custom folder.
Sent emails in this folder can only be moved to Sent Items folders, while received emails can be moved to Inbox and other custom folders.
'Sent Items' Subfolders
- Create custom subfolders under Sent Items to help you organise the outgoing emails of the matter. To create a Sent Items subfolder, right click on the Sent Items folder in your matter Emails tab, and click Create new subfolder. Give the new subfolder a name, and Save. You will now be able to move any sent email to this subfolder.
Other updates
Change matter status on multiple matters by selecting them from the Matters list, then choose relevant Status on the bottom toolbar. Click the tick to apply the change. If the status selected is Closed or Archived, you will get a pop-up asking you to enter the closed / archived date.
- Expand any existing email in the matter Emails tab to show in a pop-out. Either double click on an email, or click the expand icon on the top right of the email.
- When moving an email from Emails to Documents tab, a warning will notify you when that email already exists in the Documents tab and email will not be moved again.
- Internal email subjects will now auto-populate the time record for the email.
- 'None' option added to Templates Stage field, so you can remove a stage from template if needed.
- Editing Billable/Nonbillable setting of time types with existing time records is now disabled to ensure consistency of time values.
- Date parameters format in all reports changed to pull from user date settings.
- Bug fix: Documents search results can now be sorted by document name or created date.
- Bug fix: When inside a document folder, creating a document or converting existing document to a pdf will create it within the current folder.
- Bug fix: Updating task on document review page updates it fully wherever task is visible throughout Thread.
- Bug fix: Creating a key date/appointment selecting a date in matter calendar auto-applies the selected date for the event.

- Matter Alerts - Create alerts with optional end date and choose who will the alert show to when opening the matter (matter owner / specific or all users)
- Matter Comments - Leave comments on a matter and tag your colleagues to notify them by email; or leave comments on a document
