Default Email Subject

When sending emails, Thread can set the default email subject to Matter Name, Activity Title (the title of the document included in the email), Matter Code, or the contact's Unique Reference Number. This means, that all emails you send through Thread will automatically populate with the chosen subject line.  

  1. 1. Click on your username/initials located in the top left corner.


  2. 2. Select Personal Settings.

  1. 3. Under Default Email Subject, select one of the following options: 


Matter Name: The email subject will be populated with the title of the matter. 

Activity Title: The email subject will be populated with the title of the document included in the email. 

Matter Code: The email subject will be populated with the Matter Code. 

              Recipients Unique Reference: If the contact has a reference number and it has been entered into Thread, the email subject will be populated with this number.
