Each matter has a Settings tab where you can manage the matter's Email notifications, Permissions and view Audit logs.
Email Notifications
When you receive a reply to an email you sent from a matter, this email will come directly to the matter inbox, ensuring you won't miss any correspondence, and you will be notified of new emails on matters on your dashboard.
In the Settings tab, you can choose whether you wish to be notified of new emails by toggling Yes or No on Receive new Email Notifications. If you choose Yes, you will also get an email notifying you of any new emails on the matter.

Your firm can choose if they wish to turn off email notifications for new emails across the firm in admin settings.
Permission
In the Permission section you can control which users in your organisation can create, read, update, delete, view documents and edit documents on the matter. If you remove all those permissions for a user, they will not have access to open the matter. See Matter Permissions more details.
Only the matter owner can edit the permissions of their matter. Audit
The Audit Logs within a matter allow you to track changes on the matter, so you can clearly see when and by whom documents were added, contacts linked, or matter details amended.
Audit logs was first released in March 2024 with additional functionality continuously being released since. Thread does not provide logs of changes made prior to release. There are also financial-specific Settings available in the Financial tab of a matter. Here you can manage all financial activities related to the matter, such as bills issued, payments received, cheque requisitions, time records, expenses and client account/trust monies.
