Thread Timer

Thread Timer

Thread timer is a versatile tool that helps you to capture and control your working time.

Each time you enter a file, the Thread timer appears in the top right-hand corner of the file. By default, it starts automatically, and it logs your working time in the TimeHistory section. You can choose to include those time logs in the file if needed.

If you have Time Rounding turned on in Admin Settings, the logged time will automatically be rounded to the number value set.

When the timer is running, it will also log time automatically while working on specific activities when you open them, and you will see this time showing on those activities in Activities page of the file when you finished working on the document and saved the activity changes.

You can turn off automatic time recording in your personal settings.

If you want to be reminded to log time on a specific file, toggle Yes in the 'Prompt to save time' box on the File Summary page.

You can pause time recording any time by clicking the pause icon on the timer. Clicking it again will resume time recording.

Saving Timer log to the File

1.       Click the plus button left of the timer to save the recorded time log on the file.

2.       The Log Time window will appear. Fill in all details about the time you are logging.

3.       Click Save.

4.       The timer will then automatically return to 0:00, and you will see the logged time entry on your file Activities page.

You can choose to log time manually without using the timer by logging time on file activities or just adding manual time entries on a file.
