You can view reports of all time records on Thread in several reports, depending on the main focus and goal of the report.
You can view time entries across the firm in Time History page, where you can manage all entries as needed.
To view a time report for an individual matter, you can use the Reports button within the matter Financial / Time tab.
In this report you will see all time entries on the matter across users, how much of the time is billable vs nonbillable, and total value of the billable time. You will also see the graph of time breakdown by users to help you understand which users have been spending the most time on this matter.
You can export the report to a PDF, Excel, or HTML, and you can print directly from Thread using the options in the top toolbar of the report.
In the Reports section of Thread, you will find a number of time reports including Value for Time Spent, Billable time, and several Timesheets.
To go to the Reports section, click on the Reports icon at the bottom of your Thread menu.
To see matters that are most time consuming for your firm in any given date period, you can check the ‘Top 20 Matters by Time’ report under Management Reports.
On the right toolbar of the report, click on Parameter to specify a date period for the report you would like to see, and filter by matter owner and category if needed.
You will see the following details about each matter:
Category, Owner, Name, Code, Status, Total Time (hh:mm:ss)
You can also export or print the report using the options in the top toolbar.
Under the Management Reports tab in Thread Reports, you will find the 'Value for Time Spent' report which gives you information about the billable time compared to nonbillable time for each matter owner, and how much of that value has been billed / still needs to be billed to the client.
When you click on the report, you will see the following details for each matter:
Category, Company (Client), Matter Owner, Matter Name, Matter Code, Matter Status, All Time Logged, Billable Time, Unbillable Time, Billed Time, Billable Time Value, Billed Time Value, Percentage of Logged Time that is Billable
In the parameters on the right side of the report, you can choose the date period for the report (period of time entries), and filter the report by a specific matter category, owner and matter status.
You can also export or print the report using the options in the top toolbar.
'Timesheet' report available in the Management Reports, allows firm administrators to track time across the organisation. This report will give you a breakdown of time each user spent on Thread matters within a given date period, and listing all their time entries.
You can filter the report using the Parameter option on the right toolbar within the report; to specify a date period, choose user(s) and optional columns.
The following details will be available for each user:
User, Matter Name, Matter Code, Created Date, Description, Record Type, Time Type, Rate, Total Logged, Billable Time, Nonbillable Time (totals included at the bottom for each user).
You can also export or print the report using the options in the top toolbar.
To view a report of all billable time across Thread, a specific matter, or client / company, you can use the 'Billable Time' report under the User Reports.
In the pop-up window, you can choose to filter the report by a specific or multiple client / company, and/or matter(s).
You can then further filter the report by date period, matter status, category, billed/unbilled time.
You can also choose to view optional columns: Category, Company, Primary Client
The following details will be available for all billable time entries:
Category, Company, Primary Client – optional
Matter Owner, Matter Name, Matter Code, Matter Status, Date Created (Time Record), Description (Time Record), Created By, Rate, Logged Time, Unbilled, Billed.
You can export or print the report using the options in the top toolbar.
To view all your time logged across all matters in Thread, or all users’ time on your matters, go to the User Reports and choose the relevant Timesheet report:
My Timesheet report will show the following details of all your time records:
Matter Name, Matter Code, Matter Status, Description, Record Type, Time Type, Rate, Total Logged, Billable Time, Nonbillable Time
Matter Owner Timesheet report will show the following details of all your matters’ time records:
Matter Name, Code, Owner, Status, Description, Record Type, Time Type, Rate, Total Logged, Billable Time, Non-billable.
