There are many benefits to working with matter emails in Thread. You can send emails directly from a matter, attaching matter documents, using an email template or snippet to quickly compile an email pulling the details from the matter.
You might also want to schedule send an email and add a follow up task, if you need to take further action after some time.
When you receive a reply to an email you sent from the matter, this email will come directly to the matter inbox, ensuring you won't miss any correspondence, and you will be notified of new emails on matters on your dashboard.
You can choose whether you wish to be notified of new emails by toggling Yes or No on Receive new Email Notifications in the Settings tab of the matter
Create Folder enables you to easily manage and organise your emails within the matter.
Email attachments can be added to Documents where you can change their status, include them in a bundle, assign to users or log time spent working on them.
The email itself will always be available for you to reply to, directly from the matter within the Emails tab.
When an email attachment shows in your Documents page, you can easily preview it, or see which email it originated from in the Source column
You can create tasks linked to the email (assign the task to yourself, a colleague or multiple colleagues).
Emails can also be included in a bundle when using the bundle editor.
If you have existing emails already in your Outlook email account that you wish to have as part of your matter inbox, you can import them so you could reply directly from the matter. When importing, you can also choose an email folder that you wish to have the email saved to.
You can also add internal subjects to emails for easier understanding on what each email was about, i.e. 'Email from Court re court requirements'.
If you prefer sending emails from Outlook instead, you can use the Thread for Email Outlook Add-in to link emails to the matter before you send them, keeping all the conversations logged in the matter inbox once the email is sent and replies come in.
